Circuit boards are mounted on the underside of a mid-plate inside the chassis and the tube sockets are mounted on the top side of that mid-plate which is just below the underside of the top plate. There is a 2 3/4" hole in the top plate that each 6C33C goes through to mount in the tube socket which provides clearance between the plate and the tube. Cut-outs on the mid-plate provide access to both sides of the circuit boards when the top and bottom plated are removed. On the bottom plate there is a cut-out with 1/4" hole perforated metal covering the opening to provide air circulation from below the chassis. The amps run warm but these are running class A so heat is to be expected but I think the 6C33C tubes are getting adequate ventilation.
