Most people listen below 80db at the listening chair. Measure it - 75db is louder than you think.
The problem for the OTO SE (I own it) is that it is in reality a 4.2 watt amp before it begins to distort (measured by Hi-Fi Choice). It's generally matched to the Audio Note J speaker because this speaker is easier to drive than the AN E. The E has 1db more sensitivity 94db versus 92.5db) but the J never drops below 5ohms while the E drops to 3.6.
The other AN speakers are all less sensitive - though the OTO is fine with the AN K at 90db. I play plenty loud with plenty of deep bass with the J. With the E it's a bit malifluous when pushed hard. The Soro is considerably more powerful it has more balls - but some find it steelier some think it's much better. Comes down to taste - I would run the Soro on the E and AZ TWO/Three speakers and the OTO on the J/K/AX Two.
The PP suggestion is a good one - the OTO PP doesn't get enough love - the dealer in Victoria BC (Soundhounds) ran the PP OTO on the Quad 2905 and that is the best sound I've ever heard from a Quad panel which considering the price is quite nice.
Tannoy speakers are very similar in sensitivity to AN speakers (some more-so) so that number in itself doesn't mean a whole lot. Minimum impedance and where the impedance drops matters.
Lastly, without hearing the combo it's a tough call but your dealer probably has it right - good dealers in fact know stuff - usually more than most posters because they actually hear the stuff together everyday. At least the guys at Soundhounds do.
The Soro is ballsier and if you're leaving a Naim amp the OTO may be going too far from your comfort zone. And if I was buying unheard I wand the amp that has a much higher chance at driving speakers that are on the "iffy" side when it comes to ease of drive.
The Almarro is no slouch at all - I heard on here in Hong Kong and it sounded very good and they appeared to me to be of first class build - loved the wood look so it certainly scores high on the pride of ownership factor.
I would also very seriously consider Line Magnetic's 218IA (new list price is $3,500) - trouble is they're fairly new to the US so finding used ones will be very difficult indeed.
I recently purchased an amplifier from Audio Space and they may have the tube types you're interested in. I bought an EL34 and it hits harder - not as sweet as the OTO but less than half the price of the OTO and sounds very nice indeed.
The Line Magnetic 218IA is linked (I heard the 219IA and it is a very very good amplifier - It doesn't look out of place against $50,000 amplifiers - and based on my auditions it has both the power and drive and speed with enough "tube magic" to keep me engaged.
