Good digital playback is expensive. Seperate transport with a DA converter is needed to approach vinyl. Expect to spend $2K. For less, but will not outperform a mid quality vinyl playback is an old Magnavox CD player with the TDA 1541 chip set. Model numbers start with 'CDB' followed by three digit number. Not all CDB models have that chip set. About $75 to $150.
