It's good to hear from you. Our group misses you and your amps.
I suppose there is another way to look at pepper in that it has been around for an awfully long time (even predating output tubes). I was looking at the article in the url and I see that there are a lot of different kinds of pepper out there just as there are a whole bunch of output tubes.
I also looked at the Wikipedia article on salt and I see that even salt comes in different flavours.
