I have two 45 amps made by James Burgess. One is a close variant of the "Bugle" circuit, with an SRPP frontend using 6SL7 tubes. The other one is a circuit that James started making somewhat more recently and has a two-stage driver using 5687's halves as plate coupled gain stages. This circuit has more gain and is more suitable for a single source direct scenario or a passive attenuator. In my current systems this is not optimal, so I am having it modified right now to something entirely different. Both amps use the Magnequest DS-050 transformers.

What are your 45 amps like?
