I don't know about the EPI M100, but the original EPI 100 was probably more like 88-90dB (@1W, 1m) than 84. In your small room, and with small-scale music or modest listening levels, the Paramount with 2A3's should work OK. For large-scale music (e.g. symphony) or rocking out, the extra headroom from the 300B would be helpful.It will help if you have a hardwood floor since carpets soak up a lot of power. Likewise if you go for acoustic treatments, avoid anything very absorptive such as tube traps. The more minimalist corner treatments from Eighth Nerve or Michael Green may work well in your room.
