In my own experience, comparing Audio Note Neiros (2A3) with Shinris (300B), both amps virtually identical in all other respects, the differences were fairy subtle but clear. The 300B amps was a Mozart map, the 2A3 a Beethoven amp. The Neiro was more passionate, the Shinri more controlled. Red wine, white wine. Both sounded great but I preferred the 2A3 version. I find it hard to believe that in this particular case, anyone could say one amp was better than the other.
