Heard one by accident four or five years ago ..... fronted by a dumpster diver 1w spud amp. Gave me most serious pause, and more or less was my starting point on my higher efficiency/full range journey. Just that single listen. Plenty loud with one watt, and the image was goofy ginormous. I believe they were DX3's, and the gentleman simply went to his local cabinet maker's shop. Where they charged him a grand to make/assemble the cabinets from plans. His total cost then was $1,750.Myself, never got serious about backhorns, or large front horns simply because of room. My 300B amp, with 95-96 db 8"s on open baffle currently does the trick for me. And I've never even gotten around to hearing a 2a3 or 45 (but I'm still hanging pretty tough Thank You Very Much)
