something like 100db Bastanis Prometheus which employs a powered woofer, 12" xoverless wideband and horn loaded supertweeter with just a single cap for xo? You could run the mid/highs from the 45. The wideband cones are optimized for SET.Otherwise, with a single driver shooting for 100+ db, Hoffman's iron law sets in (efficiency, bass, box size)...you can pick two of the three but must live with the outcome of the third. You mentioned Rethm, Beauhorn, Vivaldi as too costly...you're running into the cost associated with building these complex boxes that achieve eff and fullrange bass.
BTW, Cut-Throat has lived with his system for a while and I think I recall that he has tried various SET amps...so there is a proven combo
