I'm using a Sylvania 5U4GB that I pulled out of a 1951 TV that was in continuous use until well into the 90s by a little old lady. I bought the TV from her grandson that was cleaning out the apartment. He had to buy her a new TV when something else went wrong with it and he no longer wanted her to use the old tube tv.
I tried restoring the TV and had it glowing, but never got a sound out of it. I had an unrelated accident that prevented me from pursuing it further at the time and I never got back to it. Someday I'll give it another try.
That tube is in my primary amp and is used every day.
A GZ37 will outlast any other tube you have as long as you don't do anything stupid that will make it burn out in a flash.
