I'd talk to Bel Canto and ask how they go about "reducing" the power and report back. Are they dropping the B+ on the 845? Are they just changing bias? Are they changing the way they drive the 845? That would be my guess, as I don’t think you can get 37 real watts out of an 845 without driving the grid positive.The difference between 20 and 37 watts is less than 3 dB, so you likely won't miss it. I’d be more concerned as to how they do it.
