I just bought a Bel Canto SET 40 which is rated at 37 Watts. I read somewhere here that Bel Canto can lower the wattage on the unit to 20 watts which will give it a more relaxed sound according to the member as well as extending tube life. I don't think I need the power owning Bastanis Prometheus speakers (100db and crossoverless with self amplified woofer/subs).So, power aside, good idea or bad idea.
