higher volume distortion-free play levels and greater dynamics?If you upgrade the OPT in your Fi amps, and maybe do a few subtle
modes to the power supply, etc, then I doubt a JE Labs 300B would
offer you much more (if anything) in terms of quality --mostly
just higher SPL. Also: to be honest, I doubt you can build a good
version of a 300B amp for any less than $1000 or more given quality
transformer costs.I think I'd be tempted to try a well-reviewed OPT upgrade, etc on the
Fi first, and then save up for a new loudspeaker project.
Just my off-the-cuff thoughts.Please clarify what qualities you are seeking more of.
