Multiple output tube options?

Single Ended Triodes (SETs), the ultimate tube lovers dream.

Hi all. First post on this asylum. Got the SET bug with a little 6N1P/EL34 SE amp I built over Christmas. Now thinking about venturing into real triodes - preferably with the option of trying different output tubes - either by switching components or switching board mounted socket sub-assemblies.
Two options that spring to mind are an Aikido based driver stage vs the Bugle 45SE convertible a la Gary Kaufman.
Any thoughts/ideas/other options? Does keeping things convertible mean sonic compromise??

Try a simple input scheme using 12Bz7 to give range. then 45/2a3/300b. - -3db 21:51:35 01/14/07 (0)
