Well, the answer is that it depends.I've got a couple SETs and an Atma-Sphere S-30. Which amp I use is largely dependent on which speakers I'm using. With my Edgarhorns, I tend to prefer the 45 amp as I don't need the power and there's a certain romantic quality to the 45s. My Straight 8s match up better with the S-30.
Yes, the S-30 is cleaner and faster. But the SETs seem to have more depth and warmth. Which one is more true? You got me.
