Ed I believe this is what Dennis has done. I remember reading that somewhere. I can really hear the difference when I max the volume, when the amp goes into A2. The sound is not nearly as good. The amps have *plenty* of power without having to go that far, and they can absolutely rock the house without pushing them that hard. Listening at A2 levels, is loud enough to cause hearing damage...just not necessary. Having the right speakers is important.
