In theory, if the driver stage has the balls to drive the 845 into A2 operation, it could exceed the 30w max rating for A1 use on the 845. However, the 845 is not prone to going into A2, doesn't like to be there, and likely will have other issues if in fact it ever does get there. So, theoretically it's possible to get more than 26-30w, however in reality it remains to be seen if that is really the case. Designing good amps that can handle A1 and A2 operation is not trivial, esp. from the point of view of the driver stage.-Ed
