I believe that your speakers have a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, therefore, make sure that you are using the 4 ohm speaker taps. The feedback will help with speaker damping, but at the expense of some midrange magic. Just play with it see how you like it, you cannot do any harm to your speakers or amp. Mine took about 300 hours of burn in to sound their best. If you need a bit more power, have you tried the 211 tube in place of te 845? Which 300B driver tube is being shipped with the Carys?
