One more "mod" well setup actually.The 845s are run fixed bias with a pots to adjust the bias on each channel on the power supply board.
There is a 12 Ohm resistor in the cathode circuit of each 845.
Exactly 1.00V across the 12 Ohm gives 83mA idle current which is about 73 Watts Anode dissipation. This is a good conservative setting for the 845s.
I adjusted the bias on both channel to this setting (one channel was close the other was a fair bit under this setting).
