HiHow do you suppose this 45 amp may compare to other "easier 45 tube amp designs? Such as the bugle, the DRD...and some of the other 45 circuits you see on the net.
The reason I ask, is because I'll be looking to add a new amp in my system...and have been looking at 45 type tube amps. I could read schematics and solder...but I have no right designing or prototyping an amp of my own. Which is why I'm looking toward a kit or a proven circuit. How would the 717a be as a driver? How would this amp work out with a passive tx102 pre?
