I agree, I have also listened to the older MP-6 which the VP-350B replaced. These also are great little amps. As you stated, more expensive SET's will offer subtle improvements over the Dared ones, but at a greater diminished return relative to the cost. I would say that the VP-300B is around 95% of what the Cary offers, better than the AES (Cary division) andParts Connection kits, and maybe a little less than 95% of of the Jadis I have listened to. Most of the more pricey 300B's offer that little extra ease and natural sound. If you are like me, the Dared comes more than close enough.
