You can definitely build all the traps ahead of time and save your carpet. :->)
I don't usually suggest that system of low-bass and high-bass traps, but your room is large enough to benefit from putting them along all the walls. You'll alternate them with high frequency absorbers as explained in my article, but do not alternate them at reflection points. For that you want mid/high frequency absorption along that entire section of wall.
I recommend against making corner traps from bags of insulation, which are too narrow. A room this size needs larger corner traps. You can make them from fluffy insulation, but they should be 36 inches (one meter) wide if possible. Put one in each corner, extending up to the ceiling if possible. Ideally each trap will be filled with fluffy insulation, but with 10 cm thick rigid insulation for the front surface, in front of the fluffy fiberglass. Then your builder can stretch fabric on a wooden frame to cover the insulation.
Finally, bass traps don't "suck out" low frequencies. In fact, it's usually the opposite. Bass traps reduce peaks and also raise nulls, so the net result is a flatter response. In many rooms, nulls are the larger problem, so the perception after adding traps is more bass, not less.
