Anujit,
I strongly suggest you look at the Tact Audio website. No matter how many absorbers you install, the room modes are always going to be excited by your speakers, and the time delayed energy will still be in your room (echo). I have a lively contemporary style room and used to have the same problems, slow, thick, bass, and veiled mids. My Tact RCS completely solved the echo and the boomy bass. My 25k stereo system used to sound as if pillows were duct taped to them before I bought my Tact unit! Now I can't seriously listen to other systems without noticing their echo's and the frequency abnormalities.
