I didn't say I parted with Ethan on the advantages of rotating the setup. I said I sided with him on that, but that I could understand it not being an option for you based on what you had said.
I'd prefer to see the couch further away from the right speaker than your diagram shows but I don't like narrowing the soundstage—you should see my setup which has the speakers wider apart than the standard recommended 60 degree angle. Start with things as they're shown in your diagram and then adjust it a little if necessary.
