Many, myself included, install one or two dedicated circuits for their hi-fi setup. I, for example, have two 20 amp circuits feeding a total of 4 outlets behind my stereo system. Each 20 amp circuit can provide up to 2400 watts (120v x 20A = 2400vA). And in fact, my circuits give me 123 volts and hence 2460watts. That's helpful when you consider that the P1200 I have on order can consume 2400 watts maximum. Besides giving you gobs of power, dedicated circuits tend to be quieter as there are no appliances on the circuit adding noise. It's also considered beneficial to have your digital gear on one circuit and your analogue gear on another. The circuits come from my breaker box on the side of the house. An electrician installed them for me for $100.Josh
