P1000 shut down. Displayed HOT

For the first time since I got my P1000 it shut down while watching a Blu-Ray movie. The front display of the unit before it shut down showed 300-330w/40-41%. I recently added a Pioneer Elite SC27 to my setup which Incorporates Pioneer’s exclusive Direct Energy HD amplifier with ICEpower® Class-D technology. I was wondering if maybe the P1000 will have issues with this type of amplifier in the receiver? My P1000 sits on the bottom of an open rack with plenty of open space above and to the sides for air circulation. Any ideas?
