Interesting... Thanks for the link.

Since their DIY stuff seems sensible, I'm less inclined to reject out of hand the notion of inserting their non-linear gadgets in the signal paths even though that is typically an anathema. Likely the devil's in the details. Sounds like they are along the line of Al's RC dampers.
