why then do the deaf become audio engineers?

Folks who can't hear ghosts are deaf? The folks like you who do, are not deaf? Is that what is happening? It's an issue of hearing/perceiving what science cannot (or cannot yet) measure?
Wow. Here I was thinking that it was mere delusion and mental instability (also very difficult to measure - yet) that leads folks to grind CD glare into the ether, rub cream on their equipment, etc, etc.
Alas, it is super hero hearing abilities and strength in the farce. Under those circumstances, I guess I don't mind being so deaf after all.
