As this is basically a simple comparison, a mere statement that he heard a difference would be adequate. Granted it would leave open alternative hypotheses. Some would say that they should make the judgment while others should not. Since we use peer review in scholarly disciplines, I guess peer review would apply here, namely anybody who is interested could judge.I, for one, would give little credency to this effort, but it might cause me to try it once again. I am not arguing that my instinct is to suggest that I really don't understand his explanation for why it would work. But with such easy experiments or comparisons, I think we are merely looking for personal experiences.
