All that is required to measure Beltian effects is to do whatever they do under controlled conditions and collect the same/better/worse responses from individuals. The only hurdle of significance that I can see is that nobody is interested in doing it. It has no value for science because this stuff has been established for ages. Involving this sort of thing with the marketing of Belt-type products is almost certain to severely damage sales. It may have some value within the companies in researching/checking/testing what audiophiles respond to but, given the very small size of these companies, the costs are probably too high and there are risks to the marketing effort concerning what the subjects are likely to talk about afterwards.
