This is another "Subjective Audiophile 2007" pulling-of-the-leg comment, right?

Do you really believe the ability to discern musical subtleties of tone, harmonic structure, depth of field, and focus are best done with a clueless teenager?

I vividly remember the burglar alarm at the hi-fi shop where I worked at age 19. Upon closing, we'd all hover around the front door while Julian set the alarm. It used a piezo driver and I could definitely perceive its shrill squeal when activated. All I wanted to do then was to get the hell out of there! Having said that, did I have the same perceptive and experiential ability to distinguish fine differences among high end gear back then?

Right.
