I hadn't been aware of that one. I presume it's the one linked below. Actually measuring the cables is an improvement, although JA's reasoning does not offer much hope this will happen generally.

Since this implies most cables (interconnects, in this case) behave in a linear manner, one would presume that the DBTs would be in order to verify whether, in fact, the reviewers can actually tell them apart by the sound alone. I would have preferred they had verified the audible differences from other cables or shunt (per Soundmind) with DBTs.
