Cellos put out a remarkable amount of bass. Every so called audiophile sound system I've heard recently was seriously flawed in its inability to reproduce them accurately. They all had significant FR dips in the upper bass/lower midrange where cellos put out a lot of energy. A symphony orchestra just doesn't sound right if you can't hear and feel the cellos. That was at least one thing ALL of these systems had in common. BTW, if someone plays a cello in your living room, you'll know exactly what I mean.
