IM₂=a₂/a₁*U, HD₂=1/2*a₂/a₁*U

where a₂, a₁ are coefficients.
U is signal amplitude.

and

IM₃=3/4*a₃/a₁*U², HD₃=1/4*a₃/a₁*U²

IM₂=2HD₂, IM₃=3HD₃

Under low-distortion conditions, there is thus a one-to-one

correspondence between harmonic and intermodulation

distortion. It is thus sufficient to specify only one of them.

Cool that we only need to worry about which ever is easiest to
measure and the other is related.
