A fair estimate would be based primarily upon what other piece of current gear could you buy new that would have at least the same capability, and that's hard to quantify in this case as stand alone 8 track decks today are very rare, most being now inclusive of mixers. But if you consider a new Fostex D24 with 24 tracks retails now for $1300, and would be the rough equivalent of a bank of three ADATs, then the ADAT may be worth $400. Consider your purchase well; the prices and features on digital gear is changing just as rapidly as the computer hardware that forms their basis, and that ADAT as good as it once was would today be the equivalent of a Pentium II runnung at 300 MHz.
