The 234 is the way to go.

Not only does it look industrial strength....it is.

I was a Teac warranty dude for years and only saw a few of the 234's in for service. A good rule of thumb is to ask a repair guy if he's very familiar with a unit. If he answers "No", then that's the one to buy. If on the other hand he says, "Oh yeh. I've worked on a ton of them", run away. You don't want that model of anything.
