Re: Crown xti-2000

I had XLR to RCA cables made for my Ashly FET 500 amps.
No problem either, my Parasound preamp drives the pizz out of them.

I have to agree with Bill Fitzmaurice, pro amps are NOT inherently inferior to audiophile ones.
There are good, and bad examples of either.

I would give my right you know what for a Crown Macro Reference.

I know several hard core audiophiles who dumped their "well reviewed" stereo amps for the big Crown.

Amplifier design is not exactly a black art.

DJK, an Inmate here who is well respected, feels that even an old BGW 750 series B with it's old output caps replaced, can rival most any modern apm out there.

Interestingly enough, Paul Klipsch once tested several audiophile and pro amps for a particular type of distortion.

The old BGW came out on top, in this test!
