For years I have had an older 482 connected post GEQ on the analog (turntable & cassette side) of my listening / dubbing system. I have found that it seems to lively up both the highs & lows that are lacking on some of my older cassette recordings & LPs. It also possibly corrects some anomalies associated w/ the EQing. The 482 "Lo Contour" & "Process" settings are rarely advanced more than 30% to achieve what I percieve as an agreeable effect. Any more than that sounds harsh & artificial to me.
