powered mixer to ext amp?

I would like to bypass the amp in my late 70's Traynor powered mixer and connect it to my Mccintosh 7270 stereo amp in the mono mode....Is the main out on the mixer for this?...It is a 1/4" output and my MC7270 has only rca pinplug inputs. just wondering what matching issues I might be facing if any....My goal is to run 6 microphones through the mixer with increased power as I'm afraid the mixer (rated at 120w at 4ohms) might not keep up with a band with elec guitars and drums.......any advice appreciated..thanks
