Re: thanks for the long lecture, one other simple question,

143.236.34.52

It will not boost more then 6db
However...................

If you have the parametric set at plus 6db@100hz ...what bandwidth
are you using?

What graph? 1/3 Octave? (31band)
2/3 Octave? 15band
Octave? 10 band

Lets say you are using a 1/3 octave and boost it at 6db
You have the parametric set at a smaller bandwidth and have
it boosted 6db@100hz

Basically...why do it man?

Heres what I suggest...IMHO.
Your a newbie
Play with the graphic EQ and leave the Parametric alone until
you get to recognize freqs by boosting and cutting a 1/3 octave
eq. Play with it..boost it/cut it/ learn it.
Once you have played with a 1/3 octave more you will be able to
sweep the bandwidth with a parametric and recognize problem freqs
in your room and cut them

Only my suggestion
Do as you wish
