Audioarts used to make a one rack space tunable notch filter. It had five sweepable bands, similar to a parametric EQ, but fixed bandwidth (1/10th octave), and fixed depth (48dB cut, I beleive).
It was very useful to remove feedback, you just zero in on the frequency. Sabine feedback eliminators do that automatically, but with a little training, you can do it manually by ear with one of these. The Audioarts units can be found on ebay cheap these days.
