Really depends on budget. Some of the upmarket pro amps can sound very good indeed, but it has to be remembered that they are primarily concerned with outputting high power at a resonable price. you might find their power output a little overkill for a domestic system. Some of the major hi-fi amps are purely interested in quality and as such power output is restricted, however it is usually not a problem to fine a hi-fi amp with more than sufficient power in the domestic enviroment. There are amps that combine the best of both, albeit at a price such as the FM acoustics amps. Hugely powerful, gorgeous class A sound, and prices that range mostly around £10,000 - £20,000 a piece!!Regards
