IF this is the cx-3400 you are referring too, it is a very good unit IMO. I have compard it to Rod Elliot based designs, and thier is very little difference. Very suprising considering the price and Behringer's rep of mixing boards. I have heard not-so-good things however about Behringer's older, discontinued models. But if you have the 3400 and it is not quite cutting it and you are handy with a soldering iron, simply replace the NRJ4580 op amps with OP2134 or similar. Also, replace the output coupled film caps, with a known high quality film caps of same value(Behringer prints all of the component values on their boards). Also, be sure to add some bypass caps to the powersupply pins of the opamps. The opamps and caps are surface mount, but it is not a congested circuit layout as most SM boards are so this should not be a real problem for you.
