From the ones you have listed Allen&Heath looks to be the best bet, the Mackie 8-bus series is basically a recording board, if your dealing with acts with riders, some of them say NO PEAVEY,CARVIN or MACKIE on them, so I wouldn't mess with PV otherwise your going to be renting boards for those acts. Some other good ones to check out:

Crest Consoles (most anything, depends on what you want to spend).
Midas Vinice Series (Hi$$$, but has that nice midas sound).
Soundcraft Series 2,4,5, K2, or new MH series. LX-7's(cheaper board, but build quality not real strong).

Soundcraft/Spirit live 4/8.
Yamaha GA series, maybe m3000(has kind of cheap feel to it from what I've heard.)
