Even running through A and B on the Crest amp (with the Peavy out of the scenario), I can control the mons output using the mixer (or for that matter, the individual channel attenuators on the Crest, though I'd typically leave those alone). Setting levels is not a problem.My real question is whether 225 watts at 4 ohms (what I calculate the chained speakers to be -- please someone let me know if this calc is wrong!) on each channel, with 2 speakers per channel, is going to stress the speakers or the amp. On paper, it's a better solution than the Peavey driving the same load on two of the speakers, but I lose some of the headroom on the mains.
