I have a pair of these 2604s. One needs new surrounds and the other has a blown voice coil. I tore into the one with the open voice coil and found the Matsushita triangle mark on the die cast frame. Since "Made in Japan" is stamped on the magnets, there is strong evidence that they were made by the company now known as Panasonic. I'd be interested to find out if you found replacement surrounds.
