RE: Help jackson cab maybe I could do DIY?

Beef up the power section of the amp (run more powerful rectifier diodes... or change to ss from tube). Recap with caps rated at higher voltage (600 VDC instead of 450 VDC). And make a good cab. (load with 15-inchers would be nice).

If the amp uses 6L6GC, run 7581A. If it's EL34 stock, try 6CA7. Should be a little better on the bass. May need to increase the coupling cap mfd on some of the sections (1st gain stage and phase inverter).
