RE: XLR Splitter 1:3 advice: ( one in three out ) Active device?

I would just build a simple passive splitter box myself: a little cast metal box, 1 female xlr socket and 3 xlr male sockets, made by either Neutrik or Switchcraft.
Just simply split the cable inside between the three o/p and connect screen to box to maintain shielding throughout.

If your o/p impedance is substantially higher and/or you loose level you might want to try an actively buffered splitter box.
No need for transformers as the signal stays balanced throughout.
