I've heard that concrete paving slabs on top of tennis balls work very well. As for power, maybe just a Furman rack power bar with some filtering and a voltmeter. (The voltmeter would be useful if you take this rig to parties where the power is doubtful.) A UPS would also supply a little filtering, and can keep your gear alive when some e-tard trips over a power cord or the generator runs out of fuel.
