Your best off having multiple loudspeakers in the venue and running
them down at a lower output (with full coverage and clarity)then trying to drive two speakers up front at higher output to get over crowd noise and general room noise and have enough output
for the people towards the back of the room. Its all fine and dandy unless your the one sitting up in the front
area of the room and you get your head blown off from the output of the loudspeakers sitting up frontAs an example
Two main loudspeakers hung on each side of the stage with a subwoofer(s) on the floorOne third of the way back you have a loudspeaker on each side, and at
two thirds of the way back you have a loudspeaker on each side
If you have a balcony you put a set of loudspeakers to cover that
area as well
You can hang them from the ceiling pointing down at an angle
to cover a certain area and dont have to have them as side fill either
It depends on the room you have and the seating
The side fills can be much smaller then the main cabinets as satilite
loudspeakers
You can even place small satilites out in the lobby in different
areas so people out in that area can hear the word and music
You run a delay(s) to the side fills set at different times depending
on the distance from the mains and this makes it sound as
if everything is coming from the front loudspeakers
Driving two main loudspeakers at high volumes to cover the room is ridiculus
Drive several loudspeakers placed throughout the room at lower
output with full coverage is absolutely the way to go
